毫米波双极化测云雷达在气象探测上具有较强的探测小粒子的能力,能探测从直径为几微米的云粒子到弱降水粒子的范围,具有穿透云的能力而能描述云内部物理结构,并且可以连续监测云的垂直剖面变化,弥补其他遥感手段的不足。利用毫米波双极化测云雷达可连续观测云在大气中辐射传输能够获得有重要意义的参数包括宏观上的云厚、云高、云量、云层数,微观上云粒子的大小、浓度、滴谱分布、冰与液态水的含量等。
为飞机飞行提供气象保障,为天气预报、火箭、导弹和航天器的发射与飞行提供必要的气象资料。用于气象局、机场、港口、科研院校等单位进行云雾探测和近距离降水探测等。
The millimeter wave dual-pol cloud-finding radar has a
strong capability to detect small particles in meteorological detection. It is
able to detect the targets from cloud particles of several microns in diameter
to weak precipitation particles, penetrate clouds so as to describe the
internal physical structure of clouds, monitor continuously the variation of
vertical cross section of clouds, and make compensation for the insufficiency
of other remote sensing measures. The cloud-finding radar can be used for
continuous observation of radiative transfer of clouds in atmosphere to obtain
important parameters, including the cloud thickness, cloud height, cloudage,
cloud layers in macro, and the size, density, raindrop spectrum distribution,
ice and liquid water content of cloud particles in micro.
The radar can be used to provide meteorological
support for aircraft flight and necessary weather data for weather forecast,
launch and flight of rockets, missiles and space crafts. It can also be used at
weather departments, airports, seaports, scientific research academies for
detection of cloud and near range precipitation.

l 工作频率高,可得到大的信号带宽和多普勒频移有利于提高距离和速度的测量精度和分辨力并能分析目标特性,并且有利于抗电子干扰;
l 采用无变压器的窄脉冲全固态调制器,实现了100ns的窄脉宽工作,提高了雷达分辨率;
l 具有探测小粒子(如云/雾)高灵敏度等特点,能够进行追踪观测和资料的实时传输;
l 收发一体放置于天线背面,减少了传输支路损耗;
l 二次数据产品丰富,更能直观对云进行识别。
